Good Shepherd Day School, in the heart of West Ashley across from Charlestowne Landing, is a thriving, half-day Christian preschool, serving families with tots (18 months old) through 4K.
Our mission is to display the love of Christ through grace-centered relationships with students, parents, and teachers by providing a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment that allows children to grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.
DAY SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Hi! I am Denyse, and I'm the Director of Good Shepherd Day School. But to understand who we are it’s important to know that the Day School is a ministry of the church – my job title says ‘Director’ but this is a ministry and my role is a calling. The Lord brought me here in 2011, and has called me to equip and love the teachers, welcome and embrace our families, and shine the light of Christ on our students.
I am thrilled that the Day School staff are so well-equipped to love and serve our students, reflecting the love of Christ in all that they do. When we’re together in the ministry, we truly are witnessing the Kingdom of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit at work, in and with the kids. And it is my prayer that our West Ashley community will increasingly feel and see it!

DAY SCHOOL STAFF 2020-2021
Our lead teachers have degrees in Elementary Education or have many years of experience in an Early Childhood setting. Our assistant teachers are seasoned professionals, and all teachers participate in professional development workshops yearly. Additionally, all staff pass background checks, are First Aid and CPR certified and have completed our Diocese's child abuse awareness program, Safeguarding God’s Children. Above all, the teaching staff is united by one common thread: our love of the Lord and our desire to serve His children.
Good Shepherd Day School has assistant teaching positions available in our preschool for the 2021-2022 school year.
Qualified applicants must be professing Christians, currently active in a church, seeking to serve the Risen Lord through this type of ministry, and able to pass a background check.
Experience with preschool age children and ministry work is preferred.
